Welcome to Tierra Encantada Charter School! Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we are glad you are here.
At TECS, our mission is to help you grow as a citizen scholar through rigorous learning in a bilingual environment. We want you to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in school and pursue your goals after graduation.
Two languages. Spanish language and culture are an important part of your education at TECS. You will have opportunities to strengthen your Spanish, share your ideas in both languages, and work toward earning the New Mexico State Bilingual Seal.
Real projects. You will apply what you learn to meaningful questions and challenges. Through projects and fieldwork, you will practice thinking critically, solving problems, communicating your ideas, and working with others.
College credit. As you move through high school, you will have opportunities to take dual credit courses and earn college credits before graduation. Our staff will help you prepare for and make the most of those opportunities.
You belong to a community that believes in your potential. Bring your curiosity, your voice, and a willingness to try. We look forward to learning with you and celebrating what you accomplish this year.
