Thomas is portrayed as the troubled teen in the movie and also the number one runner. In actuality, Thomas was the number one runner for the 1987 State Championship Cross Country team for McFarland.

The Governance Board of Tierra Encantada will hold it's regular board meeting on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 8:00am in the room 111.

On February 20, 2024 ALL 8th graders will be assessed in Math and Reading

Due to the weather and with more snow predicted this evening, tonight's board meeting has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

Notice is hereby given that the Regular meeting of the Tierra Encantada Charter School Governance Board previously scheduled for Wednesday, November 8, 2023 has been rescheduled. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 due to COVID. The meeting will be held online. Virtual meeting link information will be posted on the school web page.

Notice is hereby given that the Regular meeting of the Tierra Encantada charter School Governance Board previous scheduled have been changed to the following dates and times:

• November 9, 2023 changed to Wednesday, November 8, 2023
• December 7, 2023 changed to Monday, December 4, 2023
